Horrible customer service. Email them severally concerning my refunds, but to no avail. Will not buy from them again or order from them. Terrible people.
My online purchase at RI online store never arrived, was the subject of extra custom taxes and fees I was never told I would have to pay, and after exchanging emails throughout 2 weeks period, the seller asked for the package to be returned to them without informing me. Although I do have proof that the order has been returned, the seller still says it cannot proceed with a refund because of "legislation" issues, and can only start this after a period of 30 days. This was the worst costumer support I have ever encountered online. Misleading information on the website, contradictions between personnel dealing with the exact same issue. In summary, a nightmare and I feel I was scammed.

My daughter is 2years and I ordered 3-4y blouse and legging set for her but turn out to be small and light weight material.
My wife bought some jeans for my son before xmas. It turned out they were too small for him and so we wanted to get the next size up. They have however been closed for months due lock down. In the meantime we had lost the receipt. For nearly all other shops this is not an issue if you just want to swap for a different size but NO not for River Island. They refused to allow us to swap the jeans. WHY ?? The ones we were taking back had not been worn, they still had the tags on ! It would have made no difference to them at all but their stuborness has now lost a customer. My wife liked River Island and bought alot there but no more. If River Island want to survive and compete with the internet then they need to up their game.

I went into River Island Harlow and a young lady called Christine greeted myself and my husband at the door which i found very friendly and professional as it was our first time visit there i will definitely go again because the young lady helped me pick a few items which I was pleased with
This company is absolute garbage. they will screw you over on returns and are remorseless. Do not order here.
Just after paying 21euro to return a coat worth 54 from Ireland!!! River Island you just lost another customer, won’t buy anything ever again unless you set up a free return service!!!!!!!

Husband purchased a long black coat for me on the 30th oct as a Christmas present thinking he would purchase early due to the amount of lockdowns we seem to be having. The coat was far to big so I returned it today with receipt to the " princess Quay " in hull only to be told there's nothing they can do and I cannot have a gift card in exchange in an abrupt manner from some bloke pointing at a card on the desk with there terms and conditions.How disappointing as I had receipt and all tags was intact. I then took it to st stephens store and explained it was a gift, its to big and straight away without a fuss they honoured a gift card. Why couldn't the arrogant man in princess quay store treated his customer with understanding and respect! No customer care skills what so ever. I like others spend a fortune in there stores and I at least expect to be treated with respect, not snapped at and having rules slapped in my face humiliated me infront of other customers.
If only I could chose zero star! I made a purchase online 3 days ago for items on SALE. They were available online, I paid and I received the confirmation email.
3 days later, I received an email telling me that the order has been canceled due to "unavailability"! After receiving payment and confirming that the order was going to be soon dispatched!
If I knew I wouldn't have chosen to buy gifts to my family from there as I could have benefited from the SALE elsewhere from Zara or Mango which are actually far more committed to their customers. What a shame

I order from Riverisland regularly, but am very disappointed in a recent order. I ordered on 30th November and paid for express delivery that was due to arrive on Dec 3rd. Well today is Dec 4th and still no delivery. Last night, I emailed through the contact us section of the website but still no reply. I would never normally leave a negative review, but I'm so disappointed in the service from Riverisland.
